Superiority To Traditional Brewer's Yeast

Traditional Brewer's Yeast is derived as a secondary bi-product from the fermentation of beer. Brewer's Yeast is grown in the presence of grain, malts, and hops, which give the yeast a bitter taste. A de-bittering process can improve the flavor of the yeast yet it will still possess a bitter taste. The related negative effects of the de-bittering process is the reduction in protein, amino acids, minerals and other trace elements.

NutraFeast® Quality Assurance

NutraFeast® Nutritional Yeast has been specially selected for its high protein level and is grown specifically for nutritional applications. As a primary grown yeast product it has never been used to ferment or produce alcohol. Using a composite blend of sugar beet and cane molasses as the food source, our yeast is grown under tightly controlled parameters. The resulting product is then washed, concentrated, pasteurized, and spray dried to provide uniform particle size for consistency in downstream formulation. This process assures that the end product meets or exceeds established USDA food grade microbial requirements.
